Romeo & Juliet Soundtrack

Romeo and Juliet's love story is just heart breaking. They end up dying. Love makes you crazy, they say. You do things even though you thought, you can't. Now, if I were to choose the soundtrack of this magnificent story, well here's my lists and the reasons why.

  • Can't Help Falling In Love - Haley Reinhart 
         - Originally, this song was sang by Elvis Presly but I choose Haley's version since it is more romantic than the original one. You're probably confused right now, let me explain it to you. The piano alone, without any other instruments, makes you feel ease. You feel calm. You can enjoy and appreciate the lyrics more. The song is all about a person, who falls in love but everything happens so quickly. Love at first sight. The person is sure that he or she's the one. Even though the person's scared, he or she still going to risk.

  • I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz 
         - This song fits perfectly to the story. It's all about a man who will do anything for his significant other. He will do anything. He won't give up even though their situation is hard. Just like Romeo, he won't give up on Juliet even though the world and fate are against them. It's two against the world.

  • Without You - Aj Rafael ft. Moira dela Torre
     -  I feel like this song should be included. Whenever I hear this song, it makes me emotional. This song should be played where Romeo knew that Juliet's dead. The song is about a man who lost his loved one. He feels empty. Now that she's gone, he can't live without her.

  • Secret Love Song - Little Mix ft. Jason Derulo
      -  It kinda reminds me of Romeo and Juliet's relationship. They were hiding it from everyone and somehow I felt that they wanted to be free, that their love would be accepted. Both of them were afraid to reveal their relationship to the world since both sides of their family has some bad blood. The song is all about a couple who hides their relationship. They wanted to be free, to love freely, without anyone judging them or interfering their love story.

       - This song also fits to the story. The songs talks about missing someone and wishing that you're there, by his side but the sad thing is that you can't do anything about it. Its sad, I know. </3

  • If Our Love Is Wrong - Calum Scott 
      - I included this one because it also reminds me of them. Even though they say that their love is forbidden, they do not care. Their love is their strength. Loving each other was their antidote. The song talks about even though them, loving each other is wrong, he wouldn't care.He feels a magical feeling that only her can make him feel that way. He would still risk everything even though he has some doubts. He only wants her to be his.

  • Fire Meet Gasoline -  Sia
     -  We all know that Romeo and Juliet are like fire and gasoline, their love makes them burn. The song talks about the love they have each other are like fire and gasoline, loving each other makes their souls on fire. The song talks about how their love makes her (Sia) burn. He's the fire while she's the gasoline. His love makes her feel unstoppable. Even though she thinks that its dangerous to fall in love, she wouldn't mind at all if its him.

  • Always Remember Us This Way - Lady Gaga
      - We all know that Juliet is madly in love with Romeo. Their love is strong and somehow, even though she died in the story, she can't forget that kind of love so easy. I mean, who can forget that kind of love? The song talks about that no matter what happens, she will always remember their love story in a magical way.
