Essence of Family Day In My Teenage Life

    Family is a single word which has different meanings. Everybody has a lot of ways in defining family and what being part of a family means to them as well. Though each member of a family has his or her own beliefs, opinions and many other facets, but what every family has in common is that the people that are part in the family are making it clear that those other people that are part of it is important and that they are being loved. 


   What is the essence of Family Day? Well for me, family day gives parents or any family members and their children to celebrate the real meaning of what it is to be a family and also to spend quality time with each other by participating in the said activities. Family day its like the day where every member has a chance to catch things up with their children, it is a day also where everyone is loosen up in mind and body. 


   As a grew older, I've realized some things. Things such as "Time is gold.", spend time with your loved ones, enjoy things while it lasts and more.  In today's time, people are drawn of  technology. People are so occupied to the point where they don't communicate to their loved ones personally anymore because they are so busy scrolling up and down in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other apps. Technology takes over their lives without them realizing. And aside from technology, work can also be a another reason why people are busy and couldn't able to spend time with their loved one. But for me, this isn't an excuse because if you love someone, you will always find a way to balance things or to sort things out no matter how hard it is. I don't why I am ranting this but I'm thankful that the schools hold these types of activities where every family is united. I'm actually really happy whenever the school holds this activity because I get to spend time with my family ( I consider my friends and teachers as family too) and aside from that, other kids that I know (whether its personally or not) can also get to spend time with their family in that day and just by thinking of it, it makes my heart happy because who knows what the kid has gone through.
